About the Author
Don Clawson grew up in North Hollywood, California. After Service in the Army Air Forces during WW11, he returned to Parks Air College of Aeronautical Technology of St. Louis University and graduated in 1947 with a B. S. Aviation Operations. Completed USAF pilot school in 1954. He flew B-25, B47 and B-52 aircraft. He left the USAF in 1965 for a short stint with United Airlines. Returned to duty in 1967 and flew 122 combat missions in the EC-121 in Vietnam. After retiring in 1973 he spent 16 years with GTE Government Systems as an intelligence analyst. He lives in Morgan Hill, California with his wife Dolores and near his 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Poorly written and poorly edited

I am an active duty Air Force pilot and thought this book would be an interesting perspective from the past. It is not a difficult read, and goes fairly quickly. However, what makes it tougher than necessary to read is the fact that there is very little logical flow to the writing style, and, as mentioned before, there is a great deal of repetition. Several times I found the same passage, word for word, 2-3 pages after I had just read it. Furthermore, the editor should be fired if they haven't been already - throughout the book one can find basic grammatical and even spelling errors! The information in the book is interesting, but this book is not worth $15. Go find it in a library and borrow it.

Great to get the scoop on a potential world disaster. Clawson delivers a potent warning to our national leaders. A must read.

It was a gift

I bought this book as a gift, so not a great review. The individual read the book in 3 days and said it was "OK" but mentioned that it like to repeat the same information, and this was annoying.
